Michael Bishop, 61, of San Diego, has been appointed to the Medical Board of California. Rose Conroy, 58, of Woodland, has been appointed to the California Building Standards Commission. Conroy worked at the City of Davis Fire Department as fire chief from 1994 to 2010, fire captain from 1985 to 1994 and firefighter from 1979 to 1985. This position requires Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Conroy is a Democrat.
Dev GnanaDev, 61, of Upland, has been appointed to the Medical Board of California. GnanaDev has been the president of the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center since 2007 and chair of the department of surgery since 1989. He is a clinical professor of surgery at Western University for Health Sciences and an associate professor of surgery at Loma Linda University. He was the president of the California Medical Association from 2008 to 2009. GnanaDev received his medical degree from the Kurnool Medical College. This position requires Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. GnanaDev is a Republican.
Randy Kajioka, 52, of Sacramento, has been appointed to the Board of Pharmacy, where he has served since 2001. Kajioka has been a pharmacy project manager at Kaiser Permanente since 2000, and served in multiple positions there from 1984 to 2000, including chief pharmacist. He was also a pharmacist at Walgreens from 1996 to 2010. Kajioka has been a reserve deputy sheriff since 1983 and he is the president of the Sacramento Asian Peace Officers Association. He received his doctor of pharmacy from the University of the Pacific. This position does not require Senate Confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Kajioka is a Democrat.
Randy Twist, 49, of Elk Grove, has been appointed to the California Building Standards Commission. He has been the president of TNT Industrial Contractors Inc. since 1991. He is the treasurer and Northern California Coordinator for the American Indian Chamber of Commerce of California. Twist is a member of the United Association of Journeyman and Apprentices of the Plumbing and the Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada and the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials. This position requires Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Twist is a Republican.
Stanley Weisser, 70, of Redlands, has been appointed to the Board of Pharmacy, where he has served since 2007. He has been an associate clinical professor of pharmacotherapy and outcomes science at Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy since 2006. He served as president and chief executive officer of Network Pharmaceuticals Inc. from 1969 to 2000. He is a member of the boards of trustees for Redlands Community Hospital and the University of Redlands. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Weisser is a Republican.
