Chili Cook Off Results from Town Square

The 3rd Annual Chili Cook-Off was one of our best events yet! Raising over
$5,000 for The Copperopolis Volunteer Firefighters Association and they know
how to cook chili too! Their yummy chili took the People's Choice Award and
the Judge's Choice Award. The Judges selected Fancy Pan's for the Most
Unique Chili, maybe because it was loaded with whole black olives, which
was rather unique! Best Team Costume and Best Booth Decor went to
Shirley & Jim Dyson of Signco in Stockton...the little devils! The Best Chili
Name was "Red Hot Liquid Love" by Peter Tomaino and his team from Modesto.
A new award was given out for the Best Team Spirit because the Polar Bear
Girls just deserved it by keeping the crowd pleased all day. The Mechanical
Bull Riding Award went to a little boy, Ethan Harrington. Good job staying
on that bull Ethan.
A huge thank you to all the chili chefs and their teams for making this
such a great event. We hope you will be back next year too. Thanks to all
the vendors and to the Copper Lake Tulloch Lion's Club for keeping the drinks
flowing for such a big crowd.
