Wednesday Snow Levels Drop

...ANOTHER STORM WILL TAKE AIM AT NORTHERN CALIFORNIA AND COULD
BRING SNOW TO THE FOOTHILLS ON WEDNESDAY

A STORM SYSTEM WILL DEVELOP IN THE GULF OF ALASKA AND AT FIRST
SPREAD LIGHT RAIN AND SNOW OVER THE NORTHERN HALF OF THE SACRAMENTO VALLEY AND SURROUNDING MOUNTAINS ON MONDAY NIGHT. THE STORM WILL SPREAD RAIN AND MOUNTAIN SNOW SOUTH AND EAST DURING THE DAY ON TUESDAY. AS THE FRONT MOVES THROUGH THE INTERIOR ON TUESDAY NIGHT MODERATE TO SOMETIMES HEAVY PRECIPITATION MAY OCCUR OVER THE INTERIOR. GUSTY WINDS MAY OCCUR FOR SEVERAL HOURS OVER THE CENTRAL VALLEY AS THE SYSTEM PASSES WITH STRONG RIDGETOP WINDS TO 50 MPH.

SNOW LEVELS WILL START TO LOWER TUESDAY NIGHT BUT LOWER MORE
SIGNIFICANTLY DURING THE DAY ON WEDNESDAY TO NEAR 1000 FEET OVER
SHASTA COUNTY TO NEAR 2500 FEET ACROSS THE MOTHERLODE AND SOUTHERN
LAKE COUNTY. A COUPLE OF INCHES OF SNOW WILL BE POSSIBLE AT THESE
LOWER LEVELS ON WEDNESDAY WITH UP TO TWO FEET OF NEW SNOW POSSIBLE
ABOVE 6000 FEET.
