Olsen Appointed To Water, Agriculture And Insurance Committees
SACRAMENTO - Assemblymember Kristin Olsen, R-Modesto, today announced that she has been appointed by Speaker John A. Pérez to serve as a member of the Water, Parks and Wildlife, Agriculture and Insurance committees, and named as Vice Chair of the Assembly Arts, Entertainment, Sports, Tourism and Internet Media committee for the 2011-12 legislative session.
"Serving on these committees will give me the opportunity to work on issues that directly affect the Central Valley and Foothills," said Olsen. "I look forward to working with my colleagues to ensure that our state has a reliable water supply, an agricultural industry that can continue to feed the world and an insurance marketplace that offers Californians affordable choices."
As the name implies, the Water, Parks and Wildlife committee oversees California's water resources, flood management, fish and game, parks and recreation, and wildlife.
