La Cobra Mina vegetation Fire 7-1-12
A report of a vegetation fire was toned out at approximately 8 pm 7-1-12 behind the housing community of La Cobra Mina. Crews responded quickly. Containment expected soon. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

On July 1, 2012 at 00:41 a.m., Deputies responded to a disturbance call
on Pelican Place in Valley Springs. Upon arrival, a Deputy Sheriff
noticed a subject with a gun. The subject pointed the gun toward the
Deputy Sheriff. The Deputy Sheriff fired at the suspect. Suspect was
not hit.
