If you see smoke on the horizon over 108 it is a control burn by CalFire with approval for more than 100 acres.
The control burn is for a S234 class titled 'burn boss.' The class teaches fire personnel how to do a safe and diligent burn on a wildland incident.
CFPD has representatives in the course.
