Bicycle Race In Copper Brings in over 300 cyclists

Approximately 300 cyclists converged on Copperopolis on Sunday February 17, 2013 for the 4th Annual Copperopolis Circuit Cycling Race. The one day race began in Town Square next to Snaps Coffee House and ran around the circle out to Little John and down to the turn around spot at the end of the new divided road section (just north of the intersection of Quiver St.) Each group of riders continued to cover the 4.5 mile course loop 4 to six times depending on race category.

Top Sport Bicycle Race

A Topsport Cycle circuit race occurred over the weekend in Copperopolis, a 5.5 mile closed circuit,  running the length of Little John and through Town Square. Racing multiple classes and levels provided an opportunity for the spectators and supporters alike to see the skill, endurance, and power involved in such a sport.

Copperopolis Bike Race April 1, 2012 road closure info

Little John Road, from Quiver to Town Square, will be closed on Sunday April 1 from 8AM to 2PM. A detour route is available and will be marked on the day of the event, directing you onto O’Byrnes Ferry Road and Copper Cove Drive. 

 At the same time Time Trials will be occurring on Rock Creek road.  The road will be open to traffic during that race since riders are racing against the clock 1 at a time with 30 second gaps in between.
