About 4 years ago, Copperopolis residents, Larry Hicks (LMFT)
and his wife Brenda (CADAC) realized a need to reach out to veterans suffering
from PTSD/combat trauma. With this in mind, the couple began ‘Restoration Depot,’ a
faith based healing program used “in conjunction with other PTSD treatment
modalities” designed “to meet the emotional” as well as “the spiritual needs of
our veterans.”
Larry’s desire to help veterans and his strong belief in
faith based healing has led him to begin a free group in Copperopolis for veterans suffering
with PTSD or combat trauma to start in the April 2014, employing the Restoration Depot mission as well as utilizing the 'Combat Trauma Healing Manual.'
“I want to create a safe environment to talk, process feelings and emotions. It is faith based, but (the veteran) does not have to be of faith, I will not turn anyone away.”
