Dr. Ali
Parsa
to practice at the Angels Camp and Valley Springs Medical Centers
Mark Twain Medical
Center has recruited a women’s health doctor to Calaveras County. Dr. Ali Parsa will practice Women’s Health in
San Andreas serving women in the Tri-County area.
“Mark Twain Medical Center is proud to bring women’s
specialty care services back to our community,” said Craig Marks, Hospital
President. “Dr. Parsa will provide comprehensive women’s health services from
well woman care to specialty care, such as laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Parsa will
enable us to better meet the total healthcare needs of the women of Calaveras
County.”
Dr. Parsa received his Doctor of Medicine from Ross
University School of Medicine. He completed his obstetrics and gynecology
residency at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, New Jersey;
recognized
for its level 3 high risk Perinatal Center. Following his residency, Dr. Parsa
completed a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at Stanford University and
specializes in advanced laparoscopic surgeries. He is board certified in Obstetrics
and Gynecology (OB/GYN).
He is now practicing at the Medical Centers in Angels
Camp and Valley Springs. Dr. Parsa is married to forensic psychiatrist Dr.
Sanaz Kalantarzadeh, who has also joined the Medical Staff at MTMC. They have
made their home along with their two young children in Murphys.
“The excitement and diversity of obstetrics and
gynecology is what attracted me to this specialty,” stated Dr. Parsa. “I find
it very rewarding to be able to help my patients with their individual medical
needs, from having a baby to the most advanced gynecologic surgeries.”
