Fire Danger Exists Despite Cooler Weather
San Andreas – The California Department
of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL
FIRE), Tuolumne-Calaveras Unit, is
reminding all residents the burn suspension is still in effect, until further
notice. Fire danger continues to remain above
average across the Central Sierras. Even
though there is rain in the forecast for the weekend, the minimal expected
precipitation followed by the predicted north winds is not conducive to safe
burning operations.
CAL FIRE
Tuolumne-Calaveras Unit will continue to monitor the weather and fuel
conditions, and will lift the burn suspension when conditions allow for safe
burning.
