God loaned us this wonderful young man for 24 wonderful years, (26 altogether as he had the ability to drive me and his mom nuts from time to time so I figure that added up to about 2 years time and this is supposed to be funny and I know Pat would laugh at it and then chastise me for this rambling sentence!).
I want you all to know that he was battling some demons, both pre and post deployment. He was actively involved in a PTSD group in Sonora, He and Kate had just moved into a nice place were they were becoming real farmers complete with a chicken coop, loved his dogs Woodrow & Wilson, and even caught a limit of trout last Thursday were he also caught the poison oak! This kid never caught fish, but that day he limited out! He had even got the job he was hoping for, but never knew it. In short, it sounds like he had the greatest week of his life.
So we believe God called him home for a purpose and although it's painful for both Wrenae and I, his Grace and Mercy are far bigger then this hole in our hearts and so we will continue to wait on him. And when that day comes, what a reunion!!
For everyone that has written, called, come by the house, prayed, we thank you also much. We have been truly blessed.
Thank you, Dave
