CalFire Copperopolis Station Now Open

The Copperopolis CalFire station, Tuolumne-Calaveras Unit, located on Main Street across from the Copperopolis Fire Protection District is now open for the season.
Running a three man crew for 24 hours shifts this team is equipped to handle wildland fires, serve as back-up for CFPD on medical and structure calls, and provide burn permits and information to the public.
As on May 1, 2011 burn permits were requited in Calaveras County. Burn permits can be aquired during regular business hours at the CalFire station.
