SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KCRA) —Yosemite
National Park reopened areas that were previously off-limits to the
public because of the large Rim Fire, which consumed 255,000 acres of
forest land last summer.
Tuolumne Grove of Giant Sequoias and hiking trails in the
Hetch Hetchy area are now open, the National Park Service said
Wednesday.
Visitors
are being alerted of possible hazards in the area, including uneven
ground, potential rockfall and downed debris and trees.
Fire restrictions are also rescinded.
