SACRAMENTO -- President Obama called Gov. Jerry Brown on Sunday to check the status of a massive fire near Yosemite National Park which continues to burn out of control, the White House said.
State and federal
disaster funds have been made available to help fight the Rim fire, one
of the largest fires in state history. The blaze has forced closures in
one of the national park and threatened the power supply for the city of
San Francisco.
