Speak Up Against Delta Tunnels Project
Tomorrow, April 4, in Sacramento, the public is invited
to attend, call into or view by live webcast a meeting on the Bay Delta
Conservation Plan to build two giant water diversion tunnels in the
Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta.
The Plan proposes to divert water from the Sacramento
River, taking essential resources from Delta farmers and families to
send it to southern parts of the state.
This is a plan that California just cannot afford and
that unnecessarily creates winners and losers. The plumbing alone is
projected to cost $14 billion.
I encourage you to attend the hearing and ask compelling
questions to voice your opposition against this proposed “tunnels”
project.
The meeting is from noon to 6 p.m. at the Red Lion Hotel Woodlake Conference Center, 500 Leisure Lane, Sacramento.
It will also be available by live video webcast at BayDeltaConservationPlan.com, and by audio conference call at (888) 369 -1427, access code 8278112.
Sincerely,
Kristin Olsen
