SRT's "Its a Wonderful Life" simply WONDERFUL!

Sierra Repertory Theatre's performance of 'Its a Wonderful Life' is engaging, entertaining and packed with talented energy.

The moment you enter the theater you are drawn into the world of live radio. A world where sounds are created without mixers and computers, where actors and actresses must entertain a live crowd while performing many different roles for the radio audience at a non-stop pace.

The outcome? Pure genius!

With the simple act of closing your eyes, 'Its a Wonderful Life' can transport you back to a time when life was much simpler and entertainment came through a radio sitting in the middle of the living room with the family gathered around for the weekly show. However upon opening your eyes you are treated to the comedic actions and raw emotions of the actors in their various and multiple roles.

Nick Ferrucci, playing Todd Karns/Harry Bailey/Martini/Others, showed incredible talent switching his many roles and accents at the drop of a hat and playing each with such energy, he was simply a thrill to watch.

Tom Andrew, playing Jake Laurents/George Bailey, was what everyone would envision as a radio star. His mere voice, if one closed their eyes, could bring the image of Jimmy Stewart himself to life before your eyes. Impressive acting.

Tim West, playing Harry Jazbo Heywood/Clarence/Others, was sheer joy to watch and listen to as he threw his whole being into each line, each part and each scene.

Much credit needs to be given to Justin Lang, Sam Hinds/Foley Artist, as his creation of realistic ambient sounds was sheer perfection and creative genius.

Each actor and actress was impressive and seemingly perfectly cast for their roles. The direction was spot on and the stage design and lighting was well done.
