Nurturing Skills for Families Workshop Coming to Copper this Fall

For the first time, the Nurturing Skills for Families Workshop will be in Copperopolis at Lake Tulloch Bible Church, 3566 Spangler Lane, #3 this fall.  They will be held Thursdays from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on October 20, 27, and November 3, 10 and 17.  This and other courses offered through the Strengthening Families program have been available in other parts of the county and to be held here in Copper is a great opportunity for our community.

Parenting is a word of action and it comes in a variety of "titles" in our families and community.  Whether you are seasoned at parenting or just getting started, this workshop offers effective tools, affirmation of the power of positive steps and a chance to share struggles and triumphs.  Using these skills will not only improve relationships in your own family.  It starts enhancing other relationships in your life by taking out the stress.  Most important, taking part in this workshop allows you a chance to receive and share how to empower our greatest gifts - our kids!

Strengthening Families is a program of First Five of Calaveras County which is sponsoring this workshop along with the Prevent Child Abuse Council of Calaveras County. It is funded by a Calaveras County Behavioral Health Services - Mental Health Services Act grant.  In addition to Nurturing Parenting Workshops, they also offer Parent Counseling, Mindfulness Parenting Workshops, seminars and more.  For more information, call 1-888-787-3654 or go online at www.first5calaveras.org/strengtheningfamilies .  Please take advantage of this opportunity for our Copper community.
