New Look for Calaveras County Sheriff Dept vehicles
In an effort to transition the Sheriff’s Office into a new era, Sheriff Gary Kuntz has begun to change the appearance of the patrol vehicles. The old style green graphics has made way to a new design that features discreet black and gold coloring while including the necessary key features in sheriff vehicle recognition. The new design not only matches the colors of the Sheriff’s Office, but was formulated through team effort and input from the patrol deputies to match the look and feel of the newly refocused Sheriff’s Office. "Community First" was a promise that Sheriff Kuntz made to the citizens of Calaveras County and each vehicle bearing the new graphic design will have this slogan on the rear of the vehicle as a reminder that the communities and the people of Calaveras County have the highest priority. In order to be fiscally responsible, the Sheriff’s Office will only be putting the new graphics on new vehicles as they are replaced. Gateway Press Inc., located in Murphys, worked with the Sheriff’s Office in formulating the new graphic and was able to respond with the expertise and ability to meet the requirements for the new sheriff vehicle signage, as well as completing installations at a cost savings from previous installs. This full service print and graphic shop specializes in digital printing, vehicle graphics, and more. "I believe in using local vendors whenever possible," Sheriff Kuntz said, "Gateway did a great job."
