SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE DEVELOPING OVER THE NORTHERN
SACRAMENTO VALLEY AND THE MOUNTAINS NORTH OF I80 THIS AFTERNOON.
THESE STORMS ARE MOVING TOWARDS THE SOUTH AT AROUND 15 MPH. AT 130
PM, THE STRONGEST STORM WAS LOCATED NEAR DOWNIEVILLE.

THE BEST CHANCE FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS IS IN THE FOOTHILLS
AND HIGHER MOUNTAINS, WITH MAINLY ISOLATED RAIN SHOWERS IN THE
NORTHERN AND CENTRAL SACRAMENTO VALLEY. SOME SHOWERS MAY LINGER
OVER THE SIERRA INTO THE EARLY EVENING.

THE STORMS ARE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING DANGEROUS LIGHTNING...SMALL
HAIL...AND BRIEF DOWNPOURS. TAKE SHELTER WHEN THREATENING WEATHER
APPROACHES.
