Thursday gardeing in the Community Garden - come one, come all, lend a hand

Hello Gardeners,
This Thursday evening we will be working on the onion rows. Adding manure, soft rock phosphate, wood ash and then till it all in. Might even have the good fortune of picking rocks and weeds. If you have wood ashes, please bring them. We are still looking for clear plastic to cover an area of about 12' x 75'. We aim to do in that persistent morning glory.
Those who planted onion seeds last week, expect them to emerge in about 10 days from planting date.
NO REGULAR MONTHLY PLANNING MEETING SCHEDULED FOR SEPTEMBER. Rather, we will us our energies working the garden. We have lots of seeds in cell packs at this time and now we need to do soil preparation for those emerging winter crop starts. We expect the next monthly garden meeting at the library for October.
