On 07/01/2013 at approximately 8:40 PM, an Angels Camp Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on North Main Street near Copello Drive for equipment violations.
The
Officer identified the four occupants of the vehicle as 30 year old
Stockton resident Matthew Rodgers, 22 year old Stockton resident Shawna
Ritchie, 45 year old Lodi resident Sherry Hoyle, and 24 year old Lodi
resident Elijah Nhy.
Deputies
from the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Department, an Officer from the
California Highway Patrol, and an Angels Camp Police Department K9 unit
arrived to assist.

The
K9 conducted a sniff of the exterior of the vehicle and alerted to the
presence of narcotics in the vehicle. A subsequent search was made of
the interior of the vehicle, and Officers located approximately 2 grams
of methamphetamine, Vicodin pills, and narcotic paraphernalia.
Matthew
Rodgers was arrested and booked in to the Calaveras County Jail for
possession of a controlled substance, and possession of narcotic
paraphernalia.
Shawna
Ritchie was arrested and booked in to the Calaveras County Jail for
possession of a controlled substance, and possession of narcotic
paraphernalia.
Sherry
Hoyle was arrested and booked in to the Calaveras County Jail for
possession of a controlled substance, possession of narcotic
paraphernalia, and for being under the influence of a controlled
substance.
Elijah Nhy was arrested and booked in to the Calaveras County Jail for two felony warrants from Shasta County.
