24, of Cabot, Ark.; assigned to 1st Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment, 2nd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Ga.; died Sept. 20 in Panjway, Afghanistan, of injuries sustained when he was attacked by a rocket propelled grenade while on mounted patrol.

25, of North Chicago, Ill.; assigned to an East Coast naval special warfare unit; died Sept. 22, in a vehicle accident in Jalalabad, Afghanistan.

28, of Lakehurst, N.J.; assigned to 1st Squadron, 91st Cavalry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team, Schweinfurt, Germany; died Sept. 26 in Puli Alam, Afghanistan, of injuries caused by a suicide bomber. Also killed was Army Staff Sgt. Orion N. Sparks, 29, of Tucson, Ariz.

Also killed were Army Sgt. Thomas J. Butler IV, 25, of Wilmington, N.C., and Army Sgt. Jeremy F. Hardison, 23, of Maysville, N.C
