So my question is why are we right back where we were ten years ago with individual developers proposing, individualr projects and infrastructure on their own land?? As if it has already been designated?? This NOT the purpose of a community Plan. The purpose is to designate the highest and best land use for the COMMUNITY, not the developers or private land owners. The group designates the land use and then the developers go to planning and zoning to propose projects NOT to the CPAC. How can we be talking about roads and turn abouts at specific locations when the land use is not even approved for the zoning or land use yet. The CPAC absolutely should NOT be an arena to garner support for any specific project or to begin the approval process. That is for planning ONLY.If Calaveras County continues down this slippery slope where the assumption is that projects will be approved before the community plan is even adopted they will not be legally defensible...and I assure you they will be challenged.
