Our employee John Liechty caught the biggest bass of his life this week... and the 2nd biggest bass ever to come out of Melones. John's big bass weighed 17-pounds, 4-ounces, just a few ounces short of Kyle Gentry's 18-pounder, the current lake record.
Employee Gary Powell and his fiance Jessica (they just got engaged- congrats to Gary!) went out with Gary Burns of Take It To The Limit Guide Service. They caught plenty of trout and kokanee.
Employee Hank Baxter also went out with Gary Burns, and they put plenty of fish in the boat, despite having to quit early to help John weigh in his big bass!
My hubby Dan, my neighbor Michele Perreault and I went out for a few hours Saturday afternoon, and caught four nice trout for dinner, proving you don't have to get up early to catch a fish.
