A Thank you to the Copper School Clean Up Day Volunteers

I imagine everyone who gave so generous of their time Saturday at the "annual" Saddle Creek Garden Club's clean-up day at Copper School enjoyed a nice hot shower or long bubble bath to relax their sore joints after almost four hours of work!

It was truly a successful day for our objective of pruning, weeding, cultivating and planting various areas at the school.  I'm sure the school's staff will have a pleasant surprise, maybe a bit of a shock in some areas where we took advantage of all of our "man" power and got rid of a lot of dead materials and overdue heavy pruning of some bushes!

Thank you so much to the Garden Club members Joni, Ann, Lynne, Franki, Sue, Eva, Bette, Sharon & Carol, the three spouses, Wil Acosta, Gordon Russ & Bill Schaefer who were sooo helpful.  A special thank you to two parents, Charity Maness, and especially to Pastor Sean for his great support.

It was a fun project and I hope we can do it again next year - stay tuned for more information on the Signature Project (Landscaping of the slope at the bus drop-off area!!)

Yours in Gardening!
