District 5 Supervisor Darren Spellman has been accused of harassing his daughter’s former teacher, Tamara Farmer.
Farmer alleges that Spellman verbally abused her and threatened to use his position as an elected official to get her fired during a parent-teacher conference at Calaveras High School on Jan. 31.
“His harassment, verbal abuse and improper use of political authority was extremely frightening and physically intimidating,” Farmer wrote in her court filings. “So much so that when I was dismissed from the meeting I interrupted a colleague, Mark Bowe, from his wrestling practice and completely fell apart into a puddle of tears.”

I was not there or do I know the teacher, but it can be difficult sometimes for you or others to see if you have your “concerned parent” or “supervisor” hat on when you are speaking with others.
