MTUESD - 'releases' 3 Full- time Temporary Staff

According to MTUESD Superintendant Julia Tidball, the "Board took action last Thursday evening to release two Temporary full-time certificated positions and the 1full-time Temporary counseling position. These are not positions held by permanent or probationary employees. As a result, they are classified as a “release” rather than a layoff. This was not a decision that was made lightly. Our District needs to prepare for the possibility of a $350 cut per ADA if the tax extension measures do not make it to the ballot or if they are not approved by the voters in June. We maintain the MTUESD goal to retain and recruit qualified staff and will do whatever we can to reinstate these positions. I’d be happy to answer any other questions that you might have."
