The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office has identified and contacted the responsible subjects that approached female students at the Valley Springs Elementary School. The subjects were identified as high school students that were waiting for their school bus. They admitted to talking to the female students as they left the cafeteria, but denied asking them to come with them. The ages of the boys were 16, 18, and 19 years old. One of the subjects that were seen holding a beer was actually holding an IBC root beer bottle. The high school boys admitted to joking with the female students about being new 6th graders. The boys were counseled for their involvement. The report will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s office for review of charges.
