On 06-18-14 at about 0748hrs, the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office, Cal-Fire, San Andreas Fire, and Central Calaveras Fire responded to a report of a structure fire on the 8500 block of Cave City Road in Mountain Ranch. Upon arrival, Deputies observed a fully engulfed modular home. The Calaveras County Fire Investigation Unit and Calaveras County Detectives responded to the residence and located a deceased male inside the burnt structure. The identity of the victim is being withheld at this time pending autopsy results. At this time the origin of the fire is undetermined. This case is still under investigation.
