There is a large grass fire on George Reed Drive, south of San Andreas. Due to heavy smoke and limited visibilty across SR-49 near the Old Airport and Mountain Ranch Road, SR49 is being temporarily closed. Alternate routes at this time from Angels Camp to San Andreas are Pool Station Road and or Calaveritas Road to Fricot City Road.
