Sonora PD press release re: Drug Arrest

3 February 2014, at approx. 6:32 pm, an off duty Sergeant from the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Department observed an erratic driver on Washington Street and called the police department. Officers contacted the driver in the parking lot of Sonora Express Mart on Pesce Way.
The driver was identified as Steven Mackusick, 60 of Antioch. It was determined that Mackusick was under the influence of a controlled substance. A search of Mackusick revealed six baggies of crystal methamphetamine and a glass smoking pipe with methamphetamine residue.
Mackusick was placed under arrest without incident for felony possession of a controlled substance and booked at the Tuolumne County Jail.
