Community Thanksgiving feast feeds the stomach and the soul

The first Community Thanksgiving Feast held by Lake Tulloch Bible Church (LTBC) and their outreach program, The Bridge, fed over 140 people on Thanksgiving Day 11-28-13.

The planning for the feast, brainchild of Kelly Wedman and Phyllis Richards, began months ago with food drives and community outreach. Through donations from the congregation at LTBC and the community the feast became a reality with a flurry of activity the morning of Thanksgiving.

After the feast many families went home with more than a full tummy, they also were given bags of groceries heavy on proteins and fresh produce. "We hope to be able to help those in need for more than just one day." Said Kelly, adding that the future hopes for The Bridge will include food distribution

Over 40 volunteers cooked, cleaned, set-up and served for this event.
