Visit Claussen's Corner during Gold Rush days for a bit of history and brew

If the Walls could Talk!
Claussen's Corner was built in 1850's by Frank Egan as the Central Park Hotel.  At the time it included a brothel upstairs.  Some say at times there are ghosts in the upstairs window.   Remarkably the building has been in the same family since Blagoje Ratkovich bought the hotel in 1940.  The  downstairs tavern is now owned and operated by Randy and Betty Claussen.  This historical building has had a business operating in it for more than 150 years.  The Claussens will have an adult beverage booth and tri-tip sandwiches at Gold Rush Day and Autumn Harvest Street Fair on October 19, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.   While attending the Street Fair be sure to read the historical plaque at Claussen's Corner.  The Corner is celebrating Angels Camp's past, present and future.  Find Gold in Angels Camp!
