Sheriff Dept press release re: Sketch of Veteran’s Field Attempted Abduction Suspect Released
(Valley Springs, CA) On September 11, 2013 at 4:45 pm, Calaveras County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the Veteran’s Field playground in Valley Springs behind Valley Springs Elementary School for a report of an attempted abduction of a 14 year old girl. During the course of the on-going investigation, and with the assistance of the victim, Detectives obtained a sketch of the alleged suspect.
The male is described as Caucasian, approximately 6’0 tall, husky build with longer hair in the front and shorter in the back. His hair was reportedly dark in the front and faded to a lighter color towards the back. At the time of the incident the male was wearing a faded grey t-shirt and blue jeans. His vehicle was described as a heavily scratched older model 4-door car, burgundy in color with Oregon State plates.
The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office is still seeking help from the public in identifying the suspect.
