Sheriff Dept Press release re: Public Alert: Sheriff’s Office is looking for a Missing Elderly Man update: Man found

(San Andreas, CA) On 09/20/13 at approximately 7:30 am the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a missing, elderly Mokelumne Hill man. Frank Souza, 79 years old, was last seen on 09/19/13 at approximately 6:00 pm at a residence on Railroad Flat Road. Mr. Souza was driving his red 2008 Toyota Tacoma extended cab truck, California license plate #8S06821. The truck has a large, black in color deer guard attached to the front. Mr. Souza also has his dog with him, described as large and black in color. Mr. Souza suffers from various medical ailments, including dementia. Mr. Souza is described as a Caucasian male, 5’-09” tall, 240 pounds, with grey hair and hazel eyes.

California Highway Patrol has activated a “Silver Alert” for Mr. Souza, and Calaveras Sheriff’s Detectives are currently investigating his possible whereabouts.

The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for assistance in located Mr. Souza. If anyone should see him or know of his whereabouts they are asked to contact the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office at 209-754-6500, or their local law enforcement agency.
