Copper Elementary Student Council elected and getting down to business


On September 13, 2013 the student body of Copperopolis Elementary elected their student council officials. With 29 children running for 6 positions the races were tight.

Avery is 9 and ran for Sgt of Arms because he "wanted to be important to the schol." His favorite subject is Social Studies and his hobbies are baseball. He hopes to learn to play the trumpet soon.

Shane is 11 and ran for historian for himself and his sister. He hopes to "capture the history of the school year" in film. His favorite subject is science and his favorite hobbies are soccer and playing with his dog.

Lars is 9 and ran for treasurer "to be a good example." His favorite subject is math and his hobby is soccer.

McKenzie is 10 and ran for secretary because she "enjoyed being part of the student council last year" as historian. Her favorite subject is English and her hobby is gymnastics.

Braxton is 10 and ran for V.P. "to show a good example to my fellow student and all the staff." His favorite subjects are Math and Science and his hobbies are catching reptiles and soccer.

Eden is 11 and ran for President to "be a good role model for the school." Her favorite subject is English and her hobbies are volleyball and basketball.
