Sheriff Dept Press release re:Sheriff’s Office is Requesting Assistance in Locating Missing Woman

(San Andreas, CA) The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office is asking for assistance in located a missing 75 year old woman.

On May 24, 2013 the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office received a missing persons report concerning an elderly female adult. Fay Burford, age 75, of Murphys, California was last seen at a scheduled appointment in Walnut Creek, CA on May 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. She was expected to arrive back at her Murphys home on the same date, but has not been seen or heard from since leaving her appointment. Mrs. Burford is driving a faded silver or taupe colored 1996 Jeep Cherokee, license plate # 4YMC949. Records indicate that her bank card was used in Colinga, CA at 6:30 p.m. and in Lake Isabelle at 11:30 p.m. on May 23rd.

At this time the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office has no reason to believe that foul play is involved. The sheriff’s office is asking that if anyone should see Fay Burford, or know of her whereabouts to immediately call the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office at 209-754-6500.
