Copper Kids Place Well at County Fair - by Megan Borzone


Alpacas

Duncan Welch had the honor of winning Advanced Alpaca Showmanship! Duncan also recieved 2nd place on the Public Relations course, 3rd place in the packing course, and 4th place in the obstacle course. Duncan's alpaca won Junior Champion.
Pearl Rollings got 1st in Novice showmanship, and moved up to Intermediate, where she got 2nd. 
Paula Myers recieved 3rd place in Advanced showmanship. She also got 1st in all of the courses with her alpaca- the Public Relations course, packing course, and obstacle course. On Paula's obstacle course, Paula had an almost PERFECT score, recieving a 99 out of 100. Paula recieved Intermediate Champion.
Levi Rollings recieved 2nd in Advanced showmanship, and did very well on the obstacle courses.
Peyton Whaley recieved 4th place in Advanced showmanship, 5th place on the Public Relations course, 2nd place in the obstacle course, and 2nd place in the packing course. Peyton recieved Intermediate Reserve Champion.
Dairy Goats
Cooper Morlan recieved 3rd in Novice showmanship and also got Junior Champion Dairy Goat!
Goats
Rocco Griffith and Niccolo Griffith did great. Both mini members recieved four ribbons.
Taylor Myers showed two goats at the fair. Her goats got Grand and Reserve Grand Champions, and Supreme Grand and Reserve Supreme Grand Champions.
Horses
Mandy Cox did wonderful at fair.With her horse Rambo, she got 5th place in Advanced showmanship. Mandy also recieved Junior High Point Reserve Champion.
Megan Borzone and her horse, Lexi had a wonderful fair as well. They got 1st place in Advanced showmanship, and won Senior High Point Champion. Megan competed in Large Animal Round Robin.
Sheep
Paula Myers  got 3rd place in Intermediate showmanship with her lamb and recieved 4th place in the Rate of Gain contest.
Megan Borzone got 2nd place in Intermediate showmanship, so she moved up to Advanced showmanship, where she got 6th place. Her lamb got 1st place in her weight class, Reserve Champion 4-H Lamb, and went into the Grand Supreme Champion class, where she got 3rd place.
Peyton Whaley raised two lambs this year.One of her lambs was a donation lamb, which meant that all of the proceeds that the lamb raised went to the fair. The donation lamb got 4th place in its weight class, and Peyton's other lamb recieved 2nd place in its weight class. Her two lambs got 2nd and 3rd in the Weight of Gain contest. Peyton recieved 8th place in Advanced showmanship.
Taylor Myers got 5th place in the Rate of Gain contest.
Steers
Colby Westberg recieved 2nd place in his weight class.
Swine
Dakota Morlan got 1st place in Intermediate showmanship, and moved up to Advanced showmanship, where she got 2nd. She showed her pig in the feeder pig class and got 1st place.
Taylor Westberg, Colby Westberg, and Brady Westberg brought a total of 26 pigs to the fair. One of the pigs recieved Champion 4-H Pig, and another of their pigs won County Bred Champion.
Mallory Wainwright got 4th place in Novice showmanship.

 Dogs: 
Trish Welch received 1st in Novice Showmanship and 2nd in Obedience.

Rabbits: 
Taylor Meyers received a 5th in showmanship.
