Aloft Art Gallery hosting air show to benefit rehorse rescue

The Aloft Art Gallery’s annual “On the Wild Side” show is all about horses this time. We are supporting ReHorse Rescue Ranch with 20% of art sales from participating artists going to help our four-legged friends at the ranch from February 9th through February 28th.

ReHorse Rescue Ranch is an all volunteer nonprofit organization that provides temporary and/or permanent safe, loving and healthy environment for abandoned, neglected or abused equines. They depend on donations for feed and veterinary care and are currently housing 39 horses, some donkeys and a potbellied pig named Barney. Two or three volunteers check in daily to work, and 15 to 20 people volunteer on Sundays. It costs over $100.00 a month to feed one horse and Vet bills can add up to thousands!
Raquelle started this project over 5 years ago and has successfully cared for, and placed for adoption, more than 300 horses to happy “forever homes”. Raquelle is a passionate advocate for these amazing animals “that have no voice of their own”
There will also be watercolor painting demonstration by Western artist, Kim Barrington. Kim will be painting her favorite subjects; Horses, saddles and tack. Join us for a reception on 2nd.Saturday, February 9th, from 5 – 8 PM and meet Kim and Raquelle. There will be an opportunity to win one of Kim’s watercolors, a glass piece by Shirley Wilson-Rose and a horse sculpture by Merla Jordan. Ticket proceeds will all go to ReHorse Rescue.
We may even have four-legged guests!
