SRT's 'Every Christmas Story Ever Told' - high voltage holiday magic

SRT's 'Every Christmas Story Ever Told' three person dynamic cast of Tommy Dose, JD Kellman and Ty Smith hit the stage with such high speed humor, showing no signs of slowing down throughout the whole performance, had the packed house in stitches. Engaging the audience (and using them as fill-in actors when needed) added to the sheer humor of the play. Add in the one-liners, the multiple costume changes (sometimes per second) and over-the-head zingers and you have a holiday masterpiece for all! Well, all over age 12 as 'Every Christmas Story Ever Told' is rated PG.

Combining literally every Christmas Story ever told into a hilarious, knee slapping, tongue-in-cheek performance was clearly a collaborative effort. The all star cast with the energy and enthusiasm of an 8 year old high on Halloween candy combined with the artistic direction of Director Marc Libby and the incredibly creative use of props and stage hands created a play that is worth seeing again and again.

The lights dim as the stage comes aglow with a fog infused eerie light. Ty Smith enters carrying a tattered edition of Charles Dickens 'A Christmas Carol.' With the gusto of a seasoned actor Ty launches into his reverent rendition of narrator. Unfortunately for Ty, he doesn't get to complete his lines as the ghost of Bob Marley stomps onto the stage declaring he can not and will not act in this play one more time. Thus the play derails as the crew comes up with the idea to perform every Christmas story ever told...and then some.

Suffice it to say, as far as Christmas plays...if you have seen it, they re-act it. The finale will have you laughing from the heart and wondering how in the world they managed to keep up such a pace, but so happy they did.

A wonderful performance. Leaves you laughing all the way home.
