Mountain Ranch, CA) On 10/16/12 the Calaveras County Sheriff’s SWAT team
and investigators with the Calaveras Narcotics Enforcement Unit (CNEU)
served a search warrant at a residence on the 7700 block of Oak Lane in
Mountain Ranch.
Three adults were arrested during the service of the warrant.
William Underhill (61) of Mountain Ranch was arrested on felony firearms
charges for being a Felon in possession of a firearm. Miguel Topete
(37) also of Mountain Ranch was arrested on the same charge, and for
felony charges of possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor
marijuana possession charges. Charlotte Underhill, (57) of Mountain
Ranch was arrested on charges of being under the influence of a
controlled substance.
Four firearms, including two handgun and two long guns, ammunition,
approximately 40 pounds of processed marijuana, 30 marijuana plants,
approximately .6 grams of methamphetamine, and prescription medications
were seized from the property. The search warrant was the result of an
extensive, ongoing investigation by CNEU investigators.
