National Weather Service hazardous weather statement issued

...HOT WEATHER FOR NORTHERN CALIFORNIA CONTINUES...

STRONG HIGH PRESSURE WILL REMAIN OVER NORTHERN CALIFORNIA RESULTING
IN ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES THE NEXT FEW DAYS. HIGHS IN THE
CENTRAL VALLEY AND DELTA ARE EXPECTED TO RANGE FROM 95 TO 105
THROUGH TUESDAY WITH 70S AND 80S FOR THE HIGHER MOUNTAINS.
OVERNIGHT MINIMUM TEMPERATURES IN THE CENTRAL VALLEY WILL BE IN
THE UPPER 50S TO MID 60S. LOWS IN THE MOUNTAINS WILL RANGE FROM
THE 40S TO 60S WITH WARMER FOOTHILLS LOCATIONS SEEING MINIMUMS
ONLY AROUND 70.

TEMPERATURES WILL COOL WEDNESDAY INTO THE WEEKEND BUT WILL STILL
REMAIN ABOVE NORMAL.

HOT WEATHER SAFETY TIPS...

1. DRINK PLENTY OF WATER.
2. AVOID STRENUOUS ACTIVITY DURING THE HOTTEST PART OF THE DAY.
3. NEVER LEAVE CHILDREN OR PETS UNATTENDED IN A VEHICLE.
4. WEAR LIGHT WEIGHT AND LIGHT COLORED CLOTHING.
