26, of Lafayette, Ind.; assigned to 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team, Camp Ederle, Vicenza, Italy; died Sep. 13 in Muqer, Afghanistan, of wounds caused by small-arms and rocket-propelled grenade fire.

Died September 15, 2012 Serving During Operation Enduring Freedom


27, of Kokomo, Ind.; assigned to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 13, Marine Aircraft Group 13, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, I Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward); died Sept. 15 at Camp Bastion, Afghanistan, when insurgents breached the base using small-arms and rocket-propelled grenade fire. Also killed was Marine Lt. Col. Christopher K. Raible.

Also killed were Army Sgt. Sapuro B. Nena, Army Spc. Joshua N. Nelson andArmy Pfc. Genaro Bedoy.
