This meeting covered the issuance of use permits for events within Calaveras County.
Supervisor Wilensky stated, "I want the Sheriff to have the ability to shut down an event that is wrong or not permitted."
Spellman stated the proposed permitting process promotes economic development but requested that language be "cleaned up" regarding the type and size of events and the purpose highlighting the Lumberjack Days being philanthropic events as opposed to BUMP events which "line the pockets of the individual."
