The Tigers defeat the Red Sox after late game bases loaded walk, 6-5

After 5 lead changes in Wednesday's game, 4-25-12, at Frogtown, the Tigers finally pulled out a 6-5 win over the Red Sox.

The Tigers finally managed to grab the lead after a strong sixth inning.

Cody Roessler was solid at the plate for the Tigers. Roessler went 3-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the first, fourth, and sixth innings.

Ryan Mercado got the win for the Tigers. He allowed three runs over four innings. The Tigers pitcher struck out five, walked three and surrendered five hits.

The Tigers jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the second.

The Tigers got one-run rallies in the third inning and the sixth. In the third, the Tigers scored on an RBI single by Connor Barajas, scoring Roessler.

Game was closed out on a perfectly executed double play on an attempted sacrifice bunt by the Red Sox that led to a throw down at first from  Hayden Lee, and a quick return throw to home from Barajas. That led to a rundown of the Red Sox player and eventual tag by Roessler at home.  Tigers current league standings are 3-2.

The Tigers are a 11-12 year-old little league team.
