Local Little League 'Tigers' coast to a win 4-23-12

The Tiger jump on the Red Sox's early and coast to 8-2 win

The Tigers refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the Red Sox's, recording an 8-2 victory on Monday at Frog Town..
With six runs in the first three innings, the Tigers left no doubt about the eventual outcome.
A walk by Cody Roessler, a two-run single by Joseph Borello, and during the second inning helped the Tigers put some runs on the board early.



The Tigers were led by Connor Barajas hitting. Barajas went 2-3, drove in one and scored three runs. He singled in the second and third innings.
Ryan Mercado pitched lights out for the Tigers. Mercado held the Red Sox's hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out three.
Roesslergot the win for the Tigers. He allowed two runs over 3 1/3 innings. The Tigers pitcher struck out five, walked seven and surrendered one hit.
After posting one run in the second, the Red Sox's again scored one in the fourth. In the second, the Red Sox's scored on a fielder's choice, scoring Seth Bakke.
The Tigers brought home two runs in the third inning, and matched that run total in the fourth. In the third, the Tigers scored on a two-run singles by Kevin Lowry, scoring Barajas and Javon Gilbert.
The Tigers added two more runs in the top of the fourth. A clutch scored by Duncan Welch to open the scoring in the frame. That was followed up by Mike Scott's single, bringing home Barajas.
