April 22- catching bass from the bank or a boat
 
As the water warms up, the trout move out to deeper water.  But don't despair- you can still have a blast fishing for bass!  They will be active in the shallows all summer.  Learn how to target these fish when the trout bite slows down.
April 29 - local trout stream fishing
 
Just in time for trout season opener- local and high-mountain streams will be heavily planted.  Learn what waters have public access, and what baits and lures to tie on so you can have stream-fishing success.
May 6 - catching crappie from the bank or a boat
 
Many local lakes have great crappie fishing.  Learn the secret to catching these tasty slabsides.
May 13 - fly fishing local streams and lakes
 
Learn fly fishing basics- try your hand at casting a fly rod. Learn what flies to use, and best presentation.  While most fly anglers target streams, flies are very effective for lake fishing, too.

May 20 - Frog Jump Weekend- no seminar
May 27- Memorial Day Weekend- no seminar
June 3- catfishing from the bank or a boat
 
Catfish become very active at this time, moving up into the shallows to feed and spawn.  Get out there and catch a 20-pounder!
June 10- night fishing for bass, crappie and catfish from the  bank or a boat
 
Escape the heat of summer, and head to the lake after dark.  Fish are very active at night in the summer, but you have to know what to use at night, when light conditions change, and where the fish go when the stars are out.
June 17- night fishing for trout from your boat under a light
 
Melones is one of the few lakes that allows night-fishing under submersible lights.  This is a great way to catch big trout. 
June 24- rod/reel selection and maintenance
 
Learn how to select and pair rods and reels that are appropriate for your type of fishing.  What is the difference between spinning and casting?  Need a lesson in using a baitcaster?  Learn how to maintain your reels and rods for best performance and longevity.
