And we couldn't be prouder of the Copper FF's/PM's,...textbook rescue in a challenging environment, and under difficult conditions. You can tell this team is well trained,...job well done!

  3. Our Copper firefighters, paramedics and volunteers are the best there is. They saved Bob's life and I want to thank each and every one of them from the bottom of my heart for all that they did today and for what they do everyday.

  4. As a small community, the support and well wishes of friends and neighbors during difficult times is a warm and welcomed thing. With this in mind, the Copper Gazette WILL post anonymous 'well wishes' for the driver of this vehicle and the family.

  6. I stopped in to the firehouse last night, there were 3 very nice young men there. I just had to let them know how much I appreciated what they all did for Bob and what they do everyday. In one way or another what they do touches a life and knowing that they are there, knowing that they give their all for us is comforting. I know that every outcome is different but if it were not for them Bob would not have had a chance. They are all truly special people, firefighters, volunteers, chp and the cal sierra guys, it takes a very giving person to do what they do because they risk their lives in order to save others.

  7. One other person that I failed to acknowledge, is CHP officer Mick Brown. Bringing news like this to a family member that has no idea of what has happened is not a easy thing to do but there was such tenderness in his delivery, he helped me keep it together enough so that I could contact my family to help me. I have always worried about getting that knock at the door, never wanting that to happen but it did Sunday morning. Thank you Officer Brown for giving me your shoulder to cry on, keeping me focused so that I could get the help I needed. I think that you even gave me a ticket a while back, well deserved without a doubt. I would like the next time we cross paths to be for me to thank you in person for your part in this horrible time.
