Community Workshop for Regional Transportation Plan Update to be held on January 26

 The Calaveras Council of Governments (CCOG) is hosting a second community workshop for the Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) update on January 26, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Bret Harte Union High School Multi-Purpose Room.  The CCOG is updating the Regional Transportation Plan which establishes the transportation funding priorities for the next 20 years.  Community participation will help CCOG to identify projects and assign future transportation investments. 

This is an opportunity to provide valuable input on the region’s transportation priorities.  The discussion will focus on creating a safe and more efficient transportation network; identifying transportation issues and opportunities; and prioritizing future transportation and transit needs.  There will be a short presentation at 6:30 p.m. describing the RTP and current transportation priorities.  Representatives from CCOG and the project consultant team will be available to answer questions and receive input throughout the evening.Community members are encouraged to drop by at their convenience between 6 and 8 pm.  More information and a brief survey are also available on the CCOG website at http://www.calacog.org/.
