On 11-28-11 The CCSO received a call from the County Elections Office regarding a disturbance inside of the county building. When the Sheriff’s Sergeant arrived on scene he contacted Supervisor Darren Spellman. Supervisor Spellman explained to the sergeant he felt threatened by William Crane (Valley Springs).
The sergeant learned there had been an argument regarding the effort to have Supervisor Spellman recalled. As a result of the argument Supervisor Spellman felt he had been threatened by Crane.
The sergeant escorted Supervisor Spellman to his vehicle at his (Spellman) request.
The Sheriff’s Office has completed reports at the request of Supervisor Spellman. That information has been sent to the District Attorney’s Office for further review.
